My review
Every love story has its own twist & pain. A walk in the rain written by Author Udai Yadla has taken a different route but as the story progresses, everything becomes easily predictable.

The characters are very much multilayered and every character has own share of miseries. Who could have asked so much of pain in one single novel?

Certainly, the storyline has a lot to offer you as lengthy narrations and action-packed paragraphs keep you engaged for hours. However, I felt the author could have shortened action sequences in a much better manner. After some time the situation becomes like ‘Too hot to handle’ with so much dragging and rambling.

The story is definitely not the typical romance or mystery fiction and the readers would love to read love story which has a different shape altogether.
While reading one has to stop as many times the plot becomes very heavy and confusing leaving less space to breath. The book deals with lots of emotions, pains and actions.

I liked author’s daring spirit that he tried to show the love story in a different way unlike typical Bollywood stories.

The author certainly has a lot of potential and I wish all the luck for his future endeavors.

The Best Part
The author has written some beautiful quotes & some heart-touching poetic lines. The story not only gives you hope for life but a fresh perspective for life. That makes an inspirational read!

Also, I liked Saloni’s tragic story and the way she has been portrayed in the novel. Saloni aka Sandy proves to be a fresh breath of air with her inspirational short stories that she narrates to sunny during their school days.

As a reader, you will certainly notice this and will enjoy.

 The not so good part
I failed to understand how two school-going students exchanged expensive gifts like gold chain or Sandy’s mother gives her diamond ring is unbelievable.

Also, the author could have given more space to readers to grasp information as loads of action keeps rolling in.

The writing style
Writing style is impressive but need to be cautious with the pace for writing.

The book cover & the title
The book cover is suggestive enough that it is a love story. The title ‘A walk in the rain’ is apt after reading the story-line.

My rating 3/5
Want to flow in the valley of emotions & actions? Read ‘A walk in the rain.’
